Anyways, for vic easter camp 2008, I was given the opportunity to be a group leader, which was aka for cgl. Jehovah UZZI! Co-led with Moses, the chair of Caulfield. Whoa, he led some of the best, fastest and most informative bible studies I've ever experienced. I've really learnt a lot from him, in terms of the using questions to not only reveal the answers but also to target and bring up more questions to enable a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Word. At first, I really struggled with the idea of being cgl at easter camp. It was so intimidating, seeing that I would be potentially leading members who are actually comm. members. Especially with my incredibly inferior level of bible knowledge during BS sessions. And this was not helped by the crazy week I had prior to the camp. Not only did I have to prepare the bs beforehand, I also was going to be in worship for the camp which equaled band practices which took away precious after school hours that were meant to complete engineering assignments. Wow, it was so crazy on the wednesday, I cant believed I survived it. Anyways, looking back, I'm kinda glad that I didn't listen to my inner 'evil' voice and dropped out of cg leading. Well, I guess its kinda time for me to get out of the rut that i was so comfortable in. And it also helped that I received confirmations/encouragements/reprimanding from up above of my avoidance and etc. oh well, all in all, it was a good camp. Met up with friends from other centres and caught up. :)

Well... recently, in the past month or so, I've been going for LTC and finally have graduated! Man! LTC, was like another easter camp moment. I really didn't want to do it, felt so uncomfortable all way through but I'm still glad I did it. If it wasnt for someone who pushed me to do it, I would have dropped out in the first week. Haha... it seems like everytime I'm involved OCF stuff, I always meet some goliath of a week. LTC night was THE worst form of busy I've ever experience in my life! In a week, I had to do a video for ltc night, study for a french test, learn engineering matlab stuff, prepare for bs and worship for ltc, study and complete a chem mid sems online test, sit for a mid sems calculus exams, complete my eng assignment, complete prelabs... I literally had to plan my to do list everyday by the hour, to ensure that I don't forget or spend too much time on any one of them. Yikes, my super week!
Anyways, ltc retreat was the best. Graeme and Jeremy really gave spot-on words for me and it really encouraging to hear them. I'm really glad that I've decided to be more involved in ocf this year, it seems like this is the right season and moment for me. I feel like a whole different Christian than when I was in Singapore in 07. And I'm really excited to see and experience what God has installed for me in 2008!

okay, sorry if this post was rather messy and not written properly, its just really hard to put into words. And if u know how my brain works, lets just say there's a lot going on in there.
until the next confusing post,

seeya!

there's a cry in my heart

"Cry In My Heart"

There's a cry in my heart
For Your glory to fall
For Your presence to fill up my senses
There's a yearning again
A thirst for discipline
A hunger for things that are deeper

Could You take me beyond?
Could You carry me through?
If I open my heart?
Could I go there with You?
(For I've been here before
But I know there's still more
Oh, Lord, I need to know You)

For what do I have
If I don't have You, Jesus?
What in this life
Could mean any more?
You are my rock
You are my glory
You are the lifter
Of my head
Lifter of this head

pick from kt, easter pt1

Hey all, been a while since my last update and much has happened in this past week. So I guess I’ll be doing a harry-potter-7 and split this week into two posts.

Ok, so this was easter weekend. But before I convey what an awesome time I had at OCF Easter Camp Victoria 08, I reckon I should start with the fantastic KT TUNSTALL concert I went to on thusday night, the eve of camp.

One word to summarize: pure AWESOME! I was so happy to know that KT has decided to add a show in Victoria. Jason and I were so psyched to hear the good news! Seeing that there was no way we could have caught the one in Singapore. Haha, but one confession to make, I don’t really follow her music… but but, I really do like her stuff. Okok, so the whole thing went down starting with a HUH?!

Ok, so the deal was, we were desperately trying to get to the venue via tram but somehow, the friggin tram went another route and we had to scurry to find a cab to drive us to St. Kilda which cost friggin 16 bucks. Yup, next is the HUH?! part. We arrived at the Princes Ballroom at 7pm sharp, expecting to see a long queue and anticipating a feeling of great remorse for not being early. But, HUH?! happened, there was no queue in sight. We even contemplating the idea that we were at the wrong place. I mean, its KT tunstall, miss suddenly-i-see. There should be a queue but here wasn’t. Anyways to skip all unnecessary details and jump to the best part, we got in really fast and guess who was so near that she sat on the speakers in front. That would be moi, we were so first-rowed that I jumped on top of the speakers in front and sat while waiting. During the first half hour of wait, there were only visibly, barely three rows. It was kinda shocking to see so little people turn up. Oh well, the smaller the better, more intimate! I was so near the stage that, if I wanted to, I could easily reach out and touch their mikes or pedal board, not to mention, grab the set list.

Anyways, KT was absolutely charming, friggin-ass cool and a tremendously seasoned performer. She did around 18 songs, which were basically almost everything from eye to the telescope and drastic fantastic. Man, I really fell in love with her songs. So original and creative! The best thing about being first-rowed is you get to see all the weird and funny stuff they do on stage. Like the funny thing she did with her feet and like notice how she uses the pedal box that controls and replays her sounds by echos. If you don’t know how KT echos, go youtube like some video of her doing The black horse and cherry tree. Omgosh, then she played my favouritest song, suddenly I see. It was so good, her sparkly guitar and echos and etc. Pure music heaven. YEAH! And I’m super stoked to find someone on youtube who recorded the whole concert and posted it online! Whoooo for that and for the super hi def pictures Jason took with his slr. Gosh, it was such a great concert, even the opening act was crazy good. You guys should check Newton Faulkner out if you like KT Tunstall and that kinda music, a little indie, creative and acoustic style.

Although she's not really that stunningly beautiful, she was really cool, like super cool. Favourite fun song of the night was "Walk like an Egyptian" cover, I'll post the really good photo my brother snapped of her doing the egyptian walk.

But, the BEST and most memorable part of the evening that trumps first-rowed seats was KT's pick! Whoo, I managed to get hold of one! Wheet for me.
Alrighty, its getting quite late and I have a 9am lecture tomorrow, til part two
au revoir!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/R_NSbvePe4I/AAAAAAAAAMI/u_cbrLDfMLE/s200/DSC_4036.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5184578232586828674" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/R_NSb_ePe5I/AAAAAAAAAMQ/5v7JzK1570g/s200/MyPicture.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5184578236881795986" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/R_NUuvePe6I/AAAAAAAAAMY/kU7VuKjQrJw/s200/DSC_4130.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5184580758027598754" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/R_NUu_ePe7I/AAAAAAAAAMg/Pxyh2NKZJOs/s200/DSC_4193.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5184580762322566066" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/R_NUvPePe8I/AAAAAAAAAMo/PqFy_xzlEpI/s200/DSC_4191.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5184580766617533378" />

year one

hey all, sorry for the lack of updates since like last year.
Alright, so the holidays was great. Really enjoyed the time i spent with my dear cousins during CNY etc. Finally, got to see them all grow up. Especially nicholas, gosh, he's towering over me now. But I glad that he's still such a sweet boy. I would really hate to see him change into some emo, attitude, uninvolved and unenthusiastic. The first thing I did when i reach home was to hug my ah ma. I miss my ah ma the most. Not really sure why.. maybe because in a way, she was more around than my folks when I was younger. And also, she looks so cute, i mean, how can you not find some old people adorable. I just wanna squish her!
okok, moving on from mentally physically abusing my 86 year old grand mama. The hols were a good time for me to rewind and be caught up with the whole life I abruptly left behind in 2007. Met up with some friends, went back to SA, said hi to old teachers and juniors and made great fellowship with my cell mates whom i treasure so dearly.
Life was sweet in Singapore, i have a new helper at home which I think she's a dream come true, had a daily routine which gave me stability and parents who made me to feel comfortable and loved. For a few weeks, I could pretend to be a kid, everything was back to the way it was, familiar and easy. There was no need to stress abt paying bills, settling school stuff, remember to go grocery shopping, planning for each meals, making sure that washed clothes are dried and ironed for school. Yikes, whole lot of responsibility there!
So my very familiar daily routine in Singapore comprised of work at 9, home by 3, gym at 4. Such a stellar routine. Healthy and relaxing. And my only hope is that I continue this habit of exercising and eating right. haha, my new year resolution...

Anyways, the life of a TKG (trinity kid graduate) has ended and now my journey as a melbourne uni student has just set-sailed.
When i reached melbourne on monday morning, I was really home-sicked. I was alone in my clean apartment, weather was crazy hot and I was dizzy with lack of sleep. All I wanted to do was to hug my mum and cry. I can't believe I managed to spend the entire of last year in aus. Now I cant wait for June to arrive!

Anyways, to cut out all melodrama, I went for my course briefing today. Wow, i feel mentally tired just thinking of what i did today. Firstly, I woke up at 6am and walked with kingsly to the Arsenal vs AC Milan champions league match. Ahhh, friggin Adebayor should have scored at the 93rd minute! bahh. AC was so lagging behind, they were outplayed by the youngsters. Even the MVP Kaka' didn't even get a shot at goal. Moving on, then after the match, I had to immediately rush to uni for my course briefing at 9am. I ran down 2 streets, carrying my laptop on one arm, my heavy CR bag in the other, handphone and orange tic tats in my right pocket which threatened to pull my shorts off. Jump and squeeze into a tram and hope the tram inspectors were not around to check our tickets. Anywyas, it was too packed, I wouldnt have been able to pay for a ticket even if i sincerely wanted too. LOL.

Okay, so when i finally reached uni grounds, who do i bump into but sze tjen. My good friend since day 1 of trinity. While walking to the venue, we were commenting how great it is that we went through trinity and now, dont feel so lonely on first day of uni. Haha, its kinda not good that trinity ppl are grouping together but oh well, who can we blame?
So when i peered into the lect room, who do i see but steven and yusoff! Yeah, people that I know! Today's briefing would have been so boring without everyone! Got to know wai han a little better, turns out he's such a funny guy and was fun having chris around, pretending to be an engineering student. Haha, oh oh btw, I'm currently doing Chemical Engineering at the University of Melbourne.

So after we all went home, I dropped by Andrea's place for dinner and JUNO! Omg, i need to stop watching JUNO for at least 3 months. I've seen it 7 times since late jan. I practically know every line, joke and scene that's coming up next. Ahhh, really hope, that Juno will pull an upset at the Oscars and grab some awards for direction, screenplay, picture or actress...
Ooh, speaking of movies, I caught "The Importance of Being Earnest" on youtube. My my my, I've never laughed so much during a Brit film before. Not only does my fav Reese Witherspoon appears in it, so does Colin Firth and Judi Dench. Brit acting royalties. So all of u j3s waiting for results and have super a lot of time to burn, go search TIOBE on youtube and enjoy the hilarity of this picture.

Alrighty then, so I'm gonna go take my student id tomorrow, hope my picture turns out decent. haha..

btw, just to comment, this year's grammys sucked. I was so bored. Only thing that I enjoyed was Beyonce and Tina Turner. I cant believe she's 68, still dancing and singing and leaving B in the dust. Gotta give props to the Queen! and paramore didn't
win, yeah yeah, expected that but its ok. at least I got to see hayley rocking out a intensely red hair and ridiculous grey socks.

Hope everyone enjoys their day 15 of Chinese New Year 08 and I miss ya all lots!

gram's new love child

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/R2J8CQSQJNI/AAAAAAAAAL4/sKFjj7AXdWI/s320/home.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5143810102583633106" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/R2J8CgSQJOI/AAAAAAAAAMA/3dHy9gzvYe0/s320/108_2062.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5143810106878600418" />

In light of the celebration of word of the year, w00t! w00t! w00t!

OMgosh, holy mac! Grammy's have nominated Paramore for Best New Artist Category! Stunner! I can't believe the tiny/young band I stumbled upon in '05 has actually achieved the epitome of success! Yeah, yeah, I know, they probably won't get it, competing with Amy crack-house and Feist. But it's still quite an honour, and there's still a chance.
It's all about timing, if RIOT! came out last year, they would have been fighting with this year's sure bet for BEST NEW ARTIST. They definitely wont stand a chance standing beside Carrie Underwood who has been receiving immense success.

Seeing that Grammy's is going to be so much boring next year, no dixie chicks sweeping the stakes and all, I guess I'll be grabbing more ZzZ's and tune in to see the result of this award and Song of The Year.

omgosh, this is so friggin cool. Now I think I should go on a new band hunt.

day of reckoning

hey all. Been a while since I last posted. Well these few month have been quite hectic and fun.
Its been almost 2 weeks since my last Trinity paper and results are apparently already out. I'm pretty nervous and decided to postponed the act of result viewing for at least 24 hours. Hmm, I'm not sure why I wasn't prepared for this exam. Pretty mad with myself. I mean, i started studying on week 2 of term 4. Thats like 6 weeks before the exams, and yet I was same 'ole, scrambling around, looking for notes, extra time. Although preparations were pretty stressful, I'm glad I spent it with good OCF friends. The library buds were so great, we would reserve seats for one another at Bailieu and Law Lib, much to librarians dislike. Spend the whole day there and then go for a really late dinner. Haha. So unhealthy man, all that munching and absence of sunlight, excercise. Hahaha. But it was great fun. Really kept each other going and in sight of the goal at hand. Just wanna say thanks to Tracy, Tiffany, Christine Lim, Mandy and the 2 docs, Nick for driving me around and Jerica for providing much needed entertainment! Not forgetting the wonderful smarty Mel Chu, for being my tuition teacher. :)

Then it had been all about the HOLIDAYS! Had a cg roadtrip to TORQUAY! Where the sun is shining, beach is sandy, flies being uttermost vile pests and bbq smokin'. Oh my, the house we rented was rad. It had like a pool table, poker counter, george foreman-ish grill, etc. Suffice to say, we had a smashing time there.
Valedictory was more fun than I anticipated, downside was the friggin killer heels that threatened to distort my feet and end my walking career. During the ceremony, really felt that the whole year had passed really fast and that uni was fast approaching. It also meant that I was no longer allowed to be a teen but now, an adult, a young adult. The idea of growing up has been something I've been afraid of acknowledging. But, since spending almost a year here away from home, I guess I'm now better equipped in a sense to deal with this.
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/R2EYSfsOyfI/AAAAAAAAALw/JXqpCLwOe7E/s320/n802424688_421258_2701.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5143418955457546738" />

Next, Convention 07 was the most enriching camps I've ever been to. Although I was there for only 1 day and 1/2, in 2 bible studies, I've so much. I guess all credit goes to Vashti and Arthur, for being such solid BS leaders, you guys really know your stuff! And you really inspire me to be better in mine. The campsite was so farm-y. There were gooses, ducks, a bazillion flies and a goat roaming around the compound. Group phototaking was the worst thing to do during spring/summer. We were all swatting, jumping and spraying insect repellent hoping to repel those irritating flies. Seriously, the ratio was 10 flies to 1 person. It was so gross. Nightmare...

Finally, countdown begins with a week til I fly back home to Singapore, I guess I'm kinda afraid to go back. Nervous to see everyone, how they have changed and wonder if I'll still be able to maintain all the relationships, after being so far away for such a long time. Most of all, I'm terrified of the weather and humidity! urgh, stick me in an icebox already!

'k guys, I'm gonna go see my results after I say goodbye, wish me luck!
SEEYA SOON! :)

whoo..concert stuff

HEH HEH, finally uploaded some pictures from the paramore concert. Paramore was awesome! The lights and sound were fantastic. Although Hayley wasn't feeling well, singing with the "ASHLEE SIMPSON" nasal voice, it was still really goood.Oh my GOSH! I still cant believe I just saw them! So surreal..

The setlist was:
Misery Business
Emergency
Here We Go Again
Thats What You Get
For A Pessimist, I'm Pretty Optimistic
crushcrushcrush
When It Rains
Let The Flames Begin
Whoa
Pressure
My Heart

Hmm, on one hand, I am glad that they ended off with My Heart and played emergency. On the other, I was really hoping for Born For This and Decoy. Anyways, their performance was really short, ahhh, stupid opening acts that were not so good, took so much precious time away from Paramore. Hayley was so so so good even though she was sick. OMGosh, the vocals were off the charts mate. Zac was a monster! He brings drumming to a whole new level! It was so sick! AHHH. and I love his luminious ear pieces! I really wanna go for the afternoon concert tomorrow, see if i can squeeze past security for the under 18 one. -- So so ironic.
Well, I wanna say thanks to Kim who accompanied me tonight, the best night of my life! Sorry for asking u to stand and queue for 2 hrs when we didn't even plan to stand 2nd row at the mosh. Actually, we were like 2 feet away from the stage, and if not for the ppl pushing behind, we would have stayed there for like 4 hrs straight. Anywho, we got pretty good standing positions on the steps, which allowed us to temporarily elevate ourselves over the tall ang-mohs. Hmm, I'm really mad at myself for getting such an oversized paramore shirt! ahh. so stupid.. and and was pretty upset all the merch they had was just t-shirts, i wanted some stickers or posters or like the flipflops. LOL. AAAAaaaaaaaa..... I wanna scream! Oh my, the concert! whooo! so good! whoo!
Really hope someone uploads excellent pictures. The ones I took with my lousy friend's camera was so very bad. Disgustingly bad.

Well, I'm kinda tired now, from all the jumping/head-banging/standing/crowd surfing and other crazy stunts. Having a headache from all the AWESOMENESS! seeya and I really hope paramore come to singapore with saosin, although I'll feel sick when others start to like them just because they think they are cool and wadever. urgh, anyhow, I'm sure I'll go rock out with celine. WHOO! PARAMORE.... i want more.....

stardust2 and paramore baby!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/RwO9_lCi7NI/AAAAAAAAAKQ/20TYMqUuKlU/s320/_MG_0690.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5117142501595213010" />
PARAMOREEEEEEEEEE in 2 days!! 2 Years of waiting! Performing songs from 2 cds. This CANNOT get any better. Caught up on my paramore news today. And OH holy mac, they are really getting so BIG.
1) #1 on TRL
2) "Hallelujah" rated 4.5/5 by Blender Magazine
3) Musical guest on Conan O'Brien
4) Under top 10 acts to look out for in Entertainment Weekly

And these are only a handful of achievements I've named. I am so proud, so very proud of them. My babies are growing up, getting all famous and stuff.... HAHAHa... But seriously, they looked so cute in their 2005 coming out acoustic performance. And now, they are performing to sold out concerts, audiences that scream out lyrics to their songs and vote tirelessly on MTV.
Haha, zhicong says I should get a job in their promo team and my resume would include giving constant and shamelesss giving paramore plugs on everything i do.

K enough of the P-plug. Watched Stardust again yesterday and I think its fair to say that this will become a classic fantasy movie. I didn't feel bored even though I knew what was going to happen. Infact, it was quite fun. I found out a lot of new things I didn' understand before. Like Septus tatoo was suppose to be a number 7 to represent him being the 7th son. Etc etc, still hated the mother character. No character development whatsoever and just so boring. Claire danes- great the 2nd time around. Charlie Cox not too bad 2nd time around. It was so funny watching with the OCF, on one hand, tee, shuks, jerica and charlotte were all in, screaming/laughing/squirming very loudly i must say, fully engaged while on my right, vicki leong was calm and collected, wow, i so cant do that. When the movie ended, lol, all the girls were all hyped up, haha and the guys were disgrunted, mumbling under their breath that they shld have gone for rush hr3 instead.
Anyways, gotta go hit the sack now, tomorrow's a long long day, have to go swim, collected camera from roy, go to library, meet with returnees committee. alrighty then, this is christine signing off at 2 am. TATA!

pain-ball

Paintball is 90% pain and 10% fun. I'm calling it pain-ball from now onwards. Gosh, I had this illusion that it would be so much fun, like a real-life CS scenario. Oo was I wrong, so very wrong..... everything was all honky dory until the instructor gave a demostration that shot me out of my illusion. The pellets hit the metal wall at 200miles/hr man, so not funny. PAh! Pah! Pah! at that moment, I gave carmen the ultimate crap-shit-what-the-heck-did-i-do-this-for face and she chuckled at my expression. True mark of a great friend huh, enjoying every squirm-y moment I had. Anyyways, there were 6 or 7 different terrains we had to complete. The first map was the scariest. My team decided to be campers and of course the ever so hum-ji me also camped. Ended up being surrounded by the opposing team, majority guys aiming at me. Result: Bruises on the head, back and full acknowledgment of my incompetence in aiming. My fav map was the last terrain where I managed to shoot Kenneth in the eye, of course he was wearing the mask, if not he would lost an eye and potentially die. Haha, I thought i missed the shot, but then kenneth came up and showed me the splat i made on his mask. Cool-io. That was fun, actually hitting someone. But of course, there were much more victims other than kenneth over the 6 hrs we were there. SPLAT attack!
Final verdict on pain-ball: As I quote from Ms Clarkson... NEVER AGAIN. No way in hell am I ever going to revisit that fear of pain and other myriad of emotions, bad ones i mean. There is a higher possibility of me eating celery of diff levels of raw-ness than me going for #2 painball session. But it was a good time spent with the girls. And sorry to Eunice for the friendly fire, hope the bruise on your leg isn't too bad. And props goes out to all soldiers that have been or currently in war, r-e-s-p-e-c-t mates. Functioning past the ever looming fear of being shot is a tremendous achievement. There's a reason why people change after being through war. Anyways, peace out everyone (no pun intended).

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/RwO2WlCi7II/AAAAAAAAAJo/Qe7VMiupvrU/s320/bus.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5117134100639181954" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/RwO2XFCi7JI/AAAAAAAAAJw/NNG0O8P5bJg/s320/guns+central.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5117134109229116562" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/RwO2XFCi7KI/AAAAAAAAAJ4/ZYqDtKeRr0g/s320/firingrangejpg.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5117134109229116578" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/RwO2XVCi7LI/AAAAAAAAAKA/Q4mRPAzDUds/s320/wadd+upjpg.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5117134113524083890" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/RwO2X1Ci7MI/AAAAAAAAAKI/0r-uD8r_4O0/s320/group+pic.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5117134122114018498" />

heartbreak world

Lets all pack up and move this year
Slips the liars and disappear
Leave memories for auctionnaires
And those just standing still
They'll miss the taste of wanting you
Call out your name like I still do
But they never said a word thats true
And they only hold you down

And this heartbreak world
It doesn't matter
With their tired talk of better days
And dreams they had but can't remember
Come on lets make this dream that's barely half awake come true

Let's move out of Los Angeles
Just drive until this summer gives
And forget the lies we use to live
'cause we're gone

And this heartbreak world
Of just imagine
With its tired talk of better days
And this heartbreak world
Where nothing matters
Come on lets make this dream that's barely half awake come true

My current love is Matt Nathanson :) Oh man, I really want to watch Palo Alto, not only is taylor townsend is in it but the trailer loooks really yum. Plus, get the check out how good this raved young director is. I hope it gets released into NOVO cinemas, it really looks good.
Hmm, this week was really fun and eventful. On wednesday, 405 had another makan session, it was moi(porridge) night. The first batch of congee with salted and century egg was yum but the later batch of chao ta porridge was plain horrid. haha.. we were trying to dilute the charred taste with everything, like preserved olives/ pickles and tofu. OMgosh, im so jealous of tracy! She has WII and PSP. But not for long, soon yours truely will possess at least the PSP slim. Wii was so so so fun!! wheeee, the boxing game was so surreal and .. what a workout! That night, it was like entertainment central, everyone had a electronic gagget they were playing with. For once, yee seng's boardgames were no where to be seen. We ended off the night with a blistering cold walk to Carlton Gardens to carry lanterns and eat mooncake. Then proceeded to take some ridiculous shots in the dark, reviving William's camera again and again.
Then on the next day, I cant believe I woke up late for ISATs, apologies go out to xiao pei and daphne for waiting for me at flinders station. Anyways, i guess i screwed that up too, seems like I'm not going to monash meda anymore. AHHH, what is it that God wants me to do? Why can't He give me a clear answer, its always shrouded in mystery. bahh.
The day goes on with a nice lunch with jiayin, kim yii, siaw hui and van. We accompanied me grocery shopping for DIY sushi for ocf cg gathering at my place in the evening. SUshi was so fun! Thanks nick yap for helping me with it! 'K i did the accounts for the meal, and found out sushi is so very cheap! The total amt we spent was around 60 max, with 15 ppl, everyone had to pay only 3 bucks! oh my, so very cheap cheap..

Well... my holidays are coming to an end, have to prepare for EAP presentation for next wednesday and I'm currently rutting at square one. BTW, just wanna comments on the series that premiered this week.
1) Wasn't GREYS.A just plain magic? Loved how they tried to imitate being Bailey and bullying their interns and how Izzie, yet again, lands herself in an awkward case.
2)Smallville - oh man! they just need a great director. The actors and storyline are there, just need better writers and screen directors! and yay, chloe or lana didn't die...whee
3)Ugly Betty - still as great as usual
4)Gossip Girls - omg, that's like omg my fav. teen 'bim' drama. It was very gracious of them to make Kristen Bell the omniscient and invisible gossip girl.. xoxo
5)Heroes - oh man, i felt it was rather boring.. thought the levitating boy was cute though..haha
6)Damages - 'k although they didn't premiere this week, their new episode was so bleah.. get on with the real time drama already!
7)Prison Break - the 2nd episode was okay only. Really hated the idea of micheal having to break someone else from prison again. urgh.. BORING! someone kill the complany already.
8)House - haven;t seen it yet, tomorrow i shall edit this part tomorrow
9)How I Met Your Mother - AWE- friggin-SOME! The show just keeps getting funnier and wittier! Thoroughly enjoyed the enrique iglasieus joke. LOL! "You're bigger"...LOL!
10)Private Practice - Yes, this is the kate walsh aka ex. Addison Montgomery Shepard G.A spinoff. Man, this was so BAD! What was shonda rhimes was thinking! The script and everything was so plain and boring. Pls dont bother even watching it!

whooa, sheits, I have watched so many shows? anyways, just wanna take a moment to remember all the series that got the axe.
Peace out to Lorelai and Rory GILMORE, Miss teen-detective-thats-out-of-this-world Veronica Mars, The newport kiddies at the OC..
love love,
christine

stardust baby!!

hey all
its finally the holidays! Ahh.. I'm so glad that this day has arrived. But the irony is, with the amount of free time I've always wanted and waited to have, I somehow made my way back to studying. Yes, I have committed the most disgusting sin ever, I did self-willing and initiated studying yesterday afternoon. Oh The HORROR! Yes yes...
But the main bulk of today's entry is not going to be about the studying I did during the hols, instead it will focus on the best summer movie I've watched this year: STARDUST.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/RvjjYVCi7HI/AAAAAAAAAJg/qIbsQaY_9LI/s320/stardust.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5114087383983385714" />
whoowheet! This was the movie that I most hoped would not flop. With an top-notched, A-list cast prepped with a fantasy backdrop, the room for failure was indeed enormous. I'm elated to announce that Stardust is by far, the most entertaining and enchanting fantasy movie I've seen in my life. Awesome awesome film! Masterful job by the director! The quality of storytelling is through the roof, fantastic job! It's on the same pedestal as Serenity and just above Star Wars I,II,III. The most refreshing thing about the movie was that it was made as an adult or lack of a better word, a mature fantasy film. Its time someone made a film like this that wasn't made for the kiddies. We (young) adults also deserve to have such films made for us. The script was great! The humour was really enjoyable and hilarious, and rid of all obvious and cliche jokes, like those in Rush Hour, Daddy Day Camp or the ever so painful, Chuck and Larry. Before watching the movie, I've skimmed through various reviews on the movie. One said that Claire Danes blatantly overacted and that it was painful to watch. Hmm, I've no idea what the reviewer was thinking or watching. Danes was extraordinarily awesome in her protrayal of Yvaine. If Rove ever asks me who I'll turn gay for, Claire Danes is a definite contender. LOL. And although it might seemed a little over-the-top, I thought that was essential and apt for her character. She also did a commendable job on her fake British accent. Next, Charlie Cox did a brilliant job as well. Although this was his first lead role in a motion picture, I thought he did rather fabulously. However, all props definitely goes to the incomparable Michelle Pfeiffer and Robert De Niro. I am so very glad that Michelle Pfeiffer has returned to the big screen. She totally has the evil shizzle going for her, her other evil role in Hairspray was just as awesome as her other roles. Stardust contains all the elements for a great epic love/quest fantasy movie. Although some may argue that the movie sometimes lack coherent-ness, I think that the movie did its job of entertaining, keeping the audience in suspense and most significantly, reprise our hope of finding the ever so elusive, true love.

Gosh, I really want to watch this movie once more. But its such a shame that it's not doin well at the Box Office. Everyone, wake up already! Chuck and Larry is so f-ing lousy and lame! Sandler has forgotten how to be funny..

you screwed it up.. 1- nil

WHOO... Arsenal has mantained tradition! Not only did we cheat, we have yet again been unbeaten against Spurs. Oh well..

same 'ole Arsenal, always cheating

same 'ole Tottenham, always losing!

The original plan tonight was to watch the match at Kingsly's place, then his foxtel not atas enough, so ended up going to some bar to watch. Although missed first half, the second half was pure magic and exhilaration. Oh man, I started to lose hope when Adebayor rocketed a open goal opportunity. But it was slowly gaining momentum when he headed the equaliser after that miss. Whoo! Arsenal started to play better and the whole pub was all in song and cheer. When Fabergas was dribbling into the box, everyone held their breath and chanted "shoot shoot shoot.." and finally when he placed his right leg in position, everyone could feel the winning goal coming around the mountain. And as sure as Tottenham's rotten luck, he shoot--o it in! WHOOO! Man, I wished I didn't have told my dad to print R V.P on my jersey. Then in the dying minutes, Adebayor hammered the final nail into Tottenham's coffin. Yeah.. yeah. 3-1 y'all! Same comeback style as the previous meeting. ooh yeah!

ooh Arsenal ooh Arsenal
You only sing.. when you're winning..

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/Ruv8yGB3W1I/AAAAAAAAAJY/Z86M5OPx_vE/s400/tlm-a.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5110456139724053330" />
Can't wait for mine to arrive!

In other non-glorious Arsenal news, having term 3 test beginning on Monday and ending on tuesday. And yes, its the tuesday on the same week.. hehe. but in no way are they easy. Man, math is so tricky and messy! I really need to get a 100%. Lit is going to be really stressful too.. but i think i have enough leow to score at least the same marks or higher. In sadder news, my precious n73 has been stolen from yours truly! Man, I'm so mad with myself! Should have zipped my bag when i went to nap on the table. Hai, at the same time, roy must also nap. If not he could have seen the stealer!
On another note and on one hand, Pastor Sun is now the most successful Singaporean music artist to be able to collaborate with Wyclef Jean on her new single China Wine. On the other hand, what a sell-out! She has officially become a hollywood ho!

(chants) china wine.. china wine.... china wine.

whoo, cant wait to hear City harvest comebacks to defend their dear 'ole worship pastor. or leader or wadever title she gives herself to justify her actions.
No offence intended to anyone who supports her 'career' but dear sun, Stop being a WANNABE, it so obvious u dont belong. No amount of publicity nor multitudes of pictures taken with famous ppl will credit u as one of them.
AT LEAST, get a speech therapist, your friggin ah lian english is so thick and so degrading. It is so blantantly fake when u're trying to be all glam and popular, "oh my, i want that dress too and see that sequence and the last dress looks so princessy" As Janice from friends best expresses.. OH. MY... GOD.
urgh, such a utter disgrace to both singapore and christian community.

Well, that was so carthatic! K got to go back to my work and listening to quality artists singing quality songs.

(china wine, china wine.... china wine.)
im so going to regret tainting my blog with this vid:

Props goes out to other singapore artists like the other sun - stefanie sun, tanya chua whom i love and corrine may. Omg it was such a cool experience, and eunice was there to share it with me. Hhaha. After going to vic mart with Eunice to look for her genie outfit, haha, i quite selfishly asked her to tag along. I felt so bad cus it was quite far away, and i thought it would be faster if we walked. and we ended up walking quite a bit. oh noo, sorry eunice. Got a hair-cut from heading out. Omg, it was quite pricy. i thought i would get the cheapest one, oh crap, i forgot to ask for student price! ahhh. anyways, my hair-dresser Cameron was so funny and nice. Btw, i have to blog abt the chair... or should i say the massage chair when my hair was being washed. The chair was automatic-ly reclinable, comfy and it massages! It was the best hair wash in a salon i've ever had. I felt like a tai tai can. They were like offering eunice and I drinks and mags to read. Haha, so funny. Anyways, i think my haircut is rather different than my usual, eunice seems to like it and my bro didn't even realise i went for a cut. LOL. so typical..

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/Rtafx4Er-hI/AAAAAAAAAIw/VZLsGrNe-JM/s200/IMG_3634small.JPG.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5104442906885487122" /><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/RtafyIEr-iI/AAAAAAAAAI4/HcB7W5L7ZGM/s200/IMG_3638small.JPG.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5104442911180454434" />

Just got back my eap essay and im glad to say i did quite well. haha, got this photo from celeste's blog, i am, as she has posted 'absolutely disgusting'. haha the red circles made by her to place great emphasis on the D word. Hannah and I decided to take a picture of our achievement. Well done han-zilla for gettin a 19.5!

but seriously, eap is kinda useless. i hope it was counted for uni admissions, but i only like need 80%. hai. so wasted!

Tuesday was the day when the moon was suppose to be in line with the sun, aka eclipse. and then become all red. was in sam's house with her and eunice doing chem project on acid rain! whoo, easiest topic! anyways, we were sneaking around her newly build common room. omg, her theatre room is duper awe.....(wait for it)..... SOME! if anyone has seen mtv cribs, the movie room is like everyone of them. Big sofa chairs with cup holders, big screen and can accomodate 21 ppl! omg, im so excited for sam to invite us over. hopefully it happens this saturday, i dont think i can wait til after sep 17, when exams are over.
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/Rtah14Er-jI/AAAAAAAAAJA/-gw0qja4osI/s200/28082007420.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5104445174628219442" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/Rtah2IEr-kI/AAAAAAAAAJI/Cnt2OV3iZg0/s200/28082007428.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5104445178923186754" />

GOnna have home cell in my place tomorrow, mmmh,mm, yummy malaysian food. I mean, no one gets it right so fast.. oh maybe she had some help from the other writers. Anyways, just would like to report that all my essays are OVER! O-V_E-R!! WHoooo. Finally can get some quality sleep and rest. Haha, yesterday, I had a total of 16 hrs of sleep in one day. It was so goooodd... but i guess it doesn't amount much to the 3 weeks of haphazard sleeping hours. At last! my days of worry are over.. seriously. Now i can focus on other subs i've been ignoring for so long.. hope i'll be able to handle them as well, before terms exams arrivve.

Btw, ski trip was fab. In a nutshell, this is what happened over the 3 days.
DAY1: stupid me followed the rest to try and get some board time at Wombat's Rumble. Omg, it was such a bad idea. It was so long, so difficult, and I cant believe I did that slope without any training whatsoever. Then i went for lessons. Ahh, we had to strap one leg in and leave the other hanging on the board, and i ended up bashing my knee on it everytime i fell. PLs note, i fell every 10 seconds..lol. I was so irritated man, felt like giving up. Snowboarding so much harder than skiing. Guess thats the price of TRYING to be cool and all. Hhaha. Then before the lifts all stopped functioning, i decided to give it one more try, went to tom thumb to practise and I had a really really beautiful fall.. I fell forwards then backwards, at the same time, the board was in front of me, and my left knee hit a crappy angle and i think i felt it jerk a little. Luckily no snap or crack sounded... Haha, omg i felt like a loser. then i packed up and left, haha. was rather angry at my incompetence...
Dinner was so funny, my room had like the adults and lindsay and sue mei. We had fried rice, grilld chicken wings and salad whereas the other rooms had a buffet of instant noodles, each of every kind of flavour. Hahah, oh man, I was really lucky to be put into that room.

DAY2: On my second try on Drover's Dream, I managed to fall only 3 out of the 5 predicted. Somehow i managed to get over my fear of boarding of a cliff and started to get the hang of breaking down a steep slope. It began to become more fun and I think i became a little ambitous. That day, I think i went on at least 7 slopes. half of them were blue slopes! whooo, I was so intensely happy and satisfied that i became less of a loser now. Haha, the funniest of all was going up and down the ski lifts. All of us noobs kept stacking at the area. Fell and fell and fell and when we didn't, made a whoole big deal out of it. Once, this man laughed at me, and congratulated me on Not falling over. Anyways, later on at night, forrest gump was on. Oh my, what a classic man. The guys and I were like watching it and we kept talking abt the movie, like the fav parts we like and how much details i actually remembered. I cant believe they didn't see/ remmeber the elvis part. LOL. We were so excited an psych abt the movie, omg I cant rememeber having such a great time in a long while. Then it all hit us, Lieutanent Dan is the CSI NY actor. LOL. We all burst out laughing. Anyways, after the movie, I alwyas felt like a long time had passed. We had wached the entire life story of forrest gump, from his days of braced-legs to his time at army, playing ping-pong in China, his shrimp company, his maraton run, finally getting with jenny and then seeing the feather float into the credits.
Its such a classic, i love tom hanks for portraying the character with absolute perfection!

DAY3: Oh my, this is the worst day. I was tryin to do a proper S down the slope. and while i was on Drover's, I fell 4 times really hard on my head. Everytime i hit the ground, my goggles and beanie will fly off in diff directions, lol. but the sad thing was, when i finally understood the right way to make an S. It was time to leave.. But i ended the day on a positive note, I've made a pact with myself to go down Wombat's one more time before the trip was over and I did! whooo! and i need to thank lindsey for waiting at the foot for me for an extra 20 mins. LOl.

All in all, it was a good trip. Although i was frustrated at myself for most of the time, the trip was a good destresser. Im really considering of taking it up as a regular sport, it really works your body out. Gosh, I've never felt muscles ache in my arms and butt hurt this bad before. As I said before, it was a great trip and Im looking forward to next year's! :)

fallscreek here i come

whooooo.... finally the day has come, on the worse weekend yet! Anyone want any cds or shirts or wadever, email or msn me k! Im so stoked and psyched! AT long last, a live concert, im so going to sneak in for the Under18, haha less people..

Repeatable song for the hour

"Thats What U Get"
No sir, well I don't wanna be the blame, not anymore.
It's your turn, so take a seat we're settling the final score.
And why do we like to hurt so much?

I can't decide
You have made it harder just to go on
And why, all the possibilities where I was wrong

That's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa.
That's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa.
I drowned out all my sense with the sound of its beating.
And that's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa.

I wonder, how am I supposed to feel when you're not here.
'Cause I burned every bridge I ever built when you were here.
I still try holding onto silly things, I never learn.
Oh why, all the possibilities I'm sure you've heard.

That's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa.
That's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa.
I drowned out all my sense with the sound of its beating (beating)
And that's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa.

Pain make your way to me, to me.
And I'll always be just so inviting.
If I ever start to think straight,
This heart will start a riot in me,
Let's start, start, hey!

Why do we like to hurt so much?
Oh why do we like to hurt so much?

That's what you get when you let your heart win
Whoa.

That's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa.
That's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa.

Now I can't trust myself with anything but this,
And that's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa.

Anyyways, apart from the paramore hoo-ha, yum-cha-ed with my bro's trinity girl-friends and andrea. Omg, they're like so funny and so different. I really like them. So interesting and I feel so comfortable and somewhat intimidated by them. I was so relief I'm not the only asian girl who wanted and still wants to learn and get inline-skates/skateboard. They are like so my kind of people and so english orientated. I mean they're really into english stuff, like music, movies and everything. Oh man, I felt like I had to be on my toes for most of the time in a good way. Its not everyday that i hang out with people who are not like the rest. I always felt like I was born 2-3 years late, cause I think I connect better with people who are a little older with exceptions of a few people, like the always rockin' agent D, tyco-successor louisa et cetera.
Oh well, its all good today.. to quote Dame Dench "a gold star" saturday. Hahaha, well time to go back to riot and complete some of ridiculous amt of essays research, plus Im changing hoi qn which puts me 2 weeeks behind schedule. AHH, Im super stressed...
To end on a high note, I'm going snowboarding on the 17th! Hooray and muzel tov to me.

170707

WHooo.. Happy 18th birthday to myself! Love the date today, 17-07-07.
JUst wanna say thanks to all the people that wished me happy birthday, either by sms or a hug. :) so happy.. amelia and lienette called from singapore, which rang right after Temar announced the 10 mins break during hoi lecture today. oh man, really miss them both and my other friends from singapore..
More heartfelt thanks goes out to Eunice, Sam, Carmen and Reina for picking up a really nice strawberry cake with rose carved candy around it. Everything was pink and pretty.. Haha, and thanks for waking me up this morning with a surprise party! You guys were downright sneaky, kudos for taking my brother's no from my phone during chem lecture, right under my nose.. Sorry I had to bathe which wasted a lot of time and ended up having to rush for taxi to uni in the rain.. but i'm really glad to have met all of you, trinity has been more enjoyable, exciting and never lacking a jokeless moment. Thanks also for tolerating my really bad lame jokes.. ha!!
Gotta say thanks to Adryll, Lynsey, 'Ninja' Sue, Andrea and the ba!-barian for the dinner at spaghetti tree. Haha, second cake of the day. Whoo. i love being 18.. haha almost had the same strawberry cake, but luckily lynsey and suemei decided to get another. both cakes were yum yum. Like what my new housemate Shuk In commented, we have been eating cakes for breakfast for 3 mornings in a row. hahaha.. thats not good at all.

Anyyways, im still sick, no more fever though, got a nasty phelmy cold and a sexy low/almost disappearing voice. It was really freezing cold today and im now hiding under my heater-heated comforter. Just got back my sparta hoi essay paper which was graded okay-ly, ahh tomorrow getting back 3 more... shiazekoff!

alrighty, seeya all soon.

crabby

hey guess what? Its the holidays! However scanty they are, I intend to enjoy them thorougly with things involved with... not doing them. HA! All the late nights studying at Carmen's place, 7 days in a row except one day with fel, diane and I, with gra gra hanging in the background mocking us silently as she enjoys her days of leisure while we study incessantly. The correct word to have used was mug, but I never liked that term probably cause it conveys a tinge of s-mug-ness and pompous-ness.
Moving on.. I have never studied so much, have made incredible amount of (and not many, its a countablility issue) inputs into my tiny brain, even in JC. hmph and yet the exams were tough. Isnt the reason why many people seek the alternative route to university through overseas foundation education is to score in the EASY tests that they sit for. And yet, trinity for some unknown ridiculous reason made the decision to make the exams tougher. I mean, although I commend their effort and enjoy some sort of challenge particularly in their math tests, it would seem really unfair that the previous year students had a much easy tast of scoring 98%. Anyways, I thought i did pretty well for my lit exam. I didn't choke or forget a lot of stuff, I simply took my time to answer the question, writing neatly and enjoying seeing others squirm, making huge cancellations in their essay booklet. Alright, I'm cruel and mean but hey, I was that person for a long period of time, maybe I still am but I was definitely not that messy, i-am-going-to-fail person during that 3 hrs, 1500 word paper. HA! so very proud of myself.

However, I might say, my late night cramping sessions, followed by quickly packing stuff and walking out into the dark and scary and cold late night to go home was something my mom frown upon. Oh, my parents just flew back today after accompanying me for the last 10 days while my bro went to the hillsongs conference at sydney. Anyways, it was fun having them around, got to show them where my usual eating haunts, my trinity friends and introduce them to life where it is not always sunny and warm all year round. It was really cool to watch my mom disapprove of Lorelai Gilmore's talking habits and speed while we lazy-ed on the counch with the comfy black fur blanket on. Oh OH! haha, i have yet to expresss my increase adoration for Borders' 3 for 2 DVD box set sale! whoo!! I am proud to say that I have collected all 5 seasons of gilmore girls! whoo... i am so stoked to watch them in running order, fill in all the gaps in the later seasons that contains past seasons references and not to mention, scoff at the fashion of the early years. Howvere, the downside is, the production of the box set isn't that great, it could pass off as a really well done pirated dvd set purchased from thailand. Anyhow, I cant argue enough at the price i got them and yes, I still prefer code 1 versions. hmm maybe I'll get season 6 and 7 in code 1! thats terrif.. what a way to even it out.

Well, lots of things have happened during the course of my absence from posting. hmm lets see.. ok. As everyone in my cell went for church camp during june, I had sort of a christian conference too. I attended Beautiful Women. One guess where and who organised it? Two letters, P S. hm, its planetshakers if u dont already know. HAHHA. Yay, i feel a tactile imagery of people throwing rocks written jealousy all over at me. Well, 2 cents about the usual planetshakers service, the worship is so not dour. No other church has anything on ps with respect to praise and worship. Gosh, its always perfecto.. so anyone coming to mebourne to visit me specifically, or not, will not miss the chance of attending a ps service and receiving a really cool ps bag with complimentary stuff and a free cd.

Anywayss, just wanna give a shoutout to the birthdays babies for june and july, especially my cousin Michele who turns 17 tomorrow! Shoutout to joy, welcome to the life of an overseas student where the fun has no curfews and have cereals for dinner! SO enjoy your new life and call me if u need advice on anything, like your hp complany choices, optus, telstra, 3 or voda... choose vodafone pls. the rest will just screw u up especially optus. Pre-paid or plan? ERm resounding pre-paid pls.. and the most important question, more tops or jeans? In my honest opinion, get loads of tops and bring 2 jeans max. pls, u dont and wont wash ur jeans tt often. okay, I think thats too much for one entry now, tomorrow or later, i shall procede to post nothing but pictures cus seriously, its really fun. okay, ciao everyone, gottta go watch transformers for the second time. :) stay rocking and rolling...

--christine--

misery business

Woot! Only left with my last paragrah and my conclusion. Really happy on how its turning out.. And i just found out hoi is not counted in anything, unless i'm taking hoi advance, its really useless! arhh, why did i even put so much effort into it. LOL, right now, with the amt of readings I've done, I can be an advisor for Spartan history.
If anyone has free time, go read up on sparta, its an interesting account of a totalitarian government aiming to manufacture the perfect human/soldier, haha btw watching 300 is not enough. And I didn't like how they portrayed Gorgo in it, she's actually one of the most infuential and intelligent women in Spartan history. Haha, fun fact for all u reading this, Leonidas was not in line to be King, it was actually his brother's daughter, Gorgo. If you didn't get what i just said, Gorgo married her direct uncle, her father's brother. Like so eww man. And thanks to Ian, my psych teacher, he told us that the abs the hoplites had were all drawn and made more defined using photoshop. Ah, crap.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/RlmCkJeNjkI/AAAAAAAAAHw/D-IjMmzHkwA/s200/18052007263.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5069226413111742018" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/RlmCk5eNjlI/AAAAAAAAAH4/GAbcxx7RJ9Y/s200/17052007258.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5069226425996643922" /> haha anyways, on another note, last week, I had home cell and steamboat with my cell gang (with a really gang-ish name) on saturday. Yeah man, on my first attempt to cook and bring something decent for home cell, my leg of lamb turned out great. Except that it was a little too big and thick that made it hard to roast evenly. Tracy, Daphne and I also made chocolate mousse for dessert. Haha, at first we didn't use the cupcake tray, then it became pancake... but it tasted good good. with a little whipped cream on top. Food during home cell was excellent, finally tried cola pork. which is pork cooked with coke...lol sounds a little gross but it actually tasted not bad.
Okay steamboat!! haha met up with tracy in the afternoon, to be more accurate, I saved her from her dreaded lunch with rarvy or whatever his name is. Hahahaha, then we went grocery shopping for the steamboat. we bought so much things, kept adding things to our pile of balls and meat. hehe. ooh love the fish tofu, i cant believe i haven't ate this before. Wow another ingredient added to my 'things to buy for steamboat' list.
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/RlmF05eNjmI/AAAAAAAAAIA/43zSUATWx_A/s200/CIMG1819.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5069229999409434210" /> Steamboat was successful, although we prepared and ate quite late. Then we sat down to digest and play some games yee seng bought over. haha, i love the dwarf mining for the gold game. Haha.. and the bean game : to bean or not to bean.. lol. It was a really good time, bonding with my cell-ies. Especially when we were all watching the FA cup final on SBS. It was so painful watching the match, no goals and lousy refereeing, so we entertained ourselves with the camera. LOL!

Yesterday, finally went to Palmerston, saw Reina's place and realised how different it is. Mine is more city like whilst hers is more country side.. I like her place, sans the bugs and more light. The most time wasted was when the math support teacher failed to show up after wating for 2 hrs. <img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/RlmK9peNjnI/AAAAAAAAAII/L2bddXmuHl8/s200/26052007273.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5069235647291428466" /> Oh my, we were quite pissed.. then treated outselves to freddo.. haha. I think we bought and ate too much ice cream. Anyyways, I found out a lot of things about reina that i didn't know. In some ways, i felt that we were alike, which was shocking.

Well well, can't believe so many of my shows are ending, first it was the oc, then gilmore girls, now its veronica mars. yeah i agree vm hasn't been as good as season 1. but sad to see all the characters go.. oh well, can't wait for heroes and smallville to return, aa i wanna know which death is the real one, chloe or lana, although my spidy senses says chloe. Anywho, need to go back to my work now, seeya all soon...

haha btw, introducing head pastor of AOG, David, a.k.a MR BENNETT (recently better known as Noah Bennett)
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/RlmNJZeNjoI/AAAAAAAAAIQ/nA-aYDG3-5o/s200/06052007243.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5069238048178146946" />

farewell..

hey all, just here to grieve over a big loss that once hosted many good memories

Its the loss of my dear..

TEAM SAJC jersey..

ahhhh. Well the month has been really busy for me, work had begun to pile up recently but I'm glad I'm still kinda going strong. Since I most probably cannot remmber most of the stuff that happened in the last month, just gonna give ya all some highlights:
(p.s: this might take a while to read)

Continuing from the last post, last month on the 15th april, andrea and I planned a surprise party for my brother who turned a quarter-centurion! LOL. It was a huge succcess! Mainly because i think he was super blur and that we were zai. LOl. Both of us kept making excuses independently, leaving the house early and not returning home till late. This happened over a period of 3-4 days. Even on the day of surprise, he was still in his undies in his room playing finalfantasy12 with andrea keeping watch while I gathered the party ppl downstairs. LOl. Then at 11 plus on the 15th, we all crept into the apartment, lit the candles on the oreo cheesecake that andrea made and that I helped with in terms of watching. The funny thing was, I was holding the cake with the lit-ted cadles, then I suddenly saw the smoke alarm that was directly above the cake and me. AHhh, super scared the candles will set it off... Anyways, the surprise party was a complete and huge success. Everyone saw the fats in his udergarments and pjs. LOL. He had to close the door to change! hahahahaha, actually right, he was quite dumb, we were like hinting so obviously at him to put on some clothes, incase ppl come in. Hai, but then again, what else can u expect out of a pig.

Btw, just wanna say that the whole party thing was planned super well. Haha, it was kinda complicated too... like we're were suppose to have 3 birthday dinners. LOl. The first would be on friday, during OCF, where his cell group will present him with a cake, second was we told him that we're going to have a dinner on sunday the 15th with a bunch of his friends. We hoped that with all these will not make him suspicious of anything on sat night the 14th. LOL, it worked so fantastically.

The real party was fantastic, i think everyone that was invited came. Jing-a-ling (jingyi) was the entertainer of the night.. haha with her sally the fish, mosquito bites and signature trademark: retarded reindeer. Hehe. Anyways, we awarded Jason with a pink tiara that says "Happy Birthday", actually wanted to get the "Birthday Girl", but it was more expensive. hai, that would have been so much more hilarious. <img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/Rk88r5eNjaI/AAAAAAAAAGg/BJrzqOjmjkE/s200/14042007223.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5066334830674677154" />

The 15th may dinner was so horrendous, everyone's order was so badly cooked. It was like in some good restaurant with quite highly priced food. However, to everyone dismay, the women who was serving us was so like irritating, she kept talking and teasing the fats as if she knew him for a long time. URgh, the food was the same. Equally bad, this birthday dinner at picolo mundo will go down in history was the worse birthday meal. The cook managed to butcher everyone's food. Adriyll and I ordered veal at like 35 bucks. When it arrived, it wasn't veal at all, it was friggin pork chops man. It was so hard, teng and no taste. It was horrible, it was like something I cooked! Lol, after the disgusting dinner, we went around, looking for a good cake shop to salvage whatever that was left of the bday dinner. lol

For the party, andea and I really spent a lot of money and time to do it, ah the birthday boy must appreciate our effort ah and remember to return the favour too... best to do that on the 17 of july. *hint*hint

Btw these are pictures of the present/card i got him and other pics of us baking cakes. Haha, the failed black forest cake that was masterfully covered up with andrea's fresh cream. LOL.

My pacman pancake at Melbourne's best pancake shop at Vic Mart. That was how much I finish =1/4..lol
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/Rk8-M5eNjbI/AAAAAAAAAGo/Bz7rbNaF2bo/s200/13042007210.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5066336497121988018" />

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/Rk8-NpeNjcI/AAAAAAAAAGw/8f_8WvRNlxI/s200/14042007213.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5066336510006889922" />

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/Rk8_MZeNjdI/AAAAAAAAAG4/gGr-j31pM4I/s200/14042007219.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5066337588043681234" /> The smush blackforest cake! :) yum

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/Rk8_NJeNjeI/AAAAAAAAAHA/j3jP-MXGTEg/s200/14042007217.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5066337600928583138" />

Btw, I'm kinda lazy, so gonna post a month's worth of pictures. The song speaks about a young person leaving home and venturing out in search of a whole new life, adventure and meaning. It is also when character is molded and shaped by new challenges, obstacles, mistakes made and lessons learnt.
I truely hope that at the end of this year, when I reflect back on every entries I've made, I hope to see growth and maturity as well as breakthroughs and at least signs that I've changed and progressed.

On another sad note, I'm so incredibly sad and disappointed with myself. I can't seem to remember being in SA. Hey, its not like I had dementia and forgot that i did a year in SA, I just can't recall the feeling of being in SA, of being in the cafe, the CC where we'll all eat sweets, sleep, talk and try to concentrate, understand, laugh hysterically at either mrs leow animated chem lectures or the female maths lecturer for her horrendous pronounciation as well as jokes that either made no sense or super duper ultimately lame. However luckily i still remember playing tennis at the 4th level. We'll all be trying to train with all seriousness yet always failing, either laughing at my trademark tyco-ness or at tina tan's emo/model poses with the racket in hand. No matter how short my time in SA was, I enjoyed the company and all the experiences thoroughly, from orientation to my 1st 3 months class with 06s07 then to my permanent class of 06s12, to house comm elections, tennis competitions, ltc camp, organising racial harmony, amazing race and buying/ putting up cny decor with sam and anisha. My only regret is leaving my dear saint-tennisers, not getting to know my juniors especially my doubles partner jorraine and see nicole tear and smother her opponents with her zai-ness. Well not to mention missing amelia, lie-nette, jialin and the girlies a whole lot everyday!

On another note, last weekend was easter weekend. Decided to forfeit my newfoundglory tickets since paramore cancelled
go for easter camp. <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/Rh4d-yQa7AI/AAAAAAAAAFo/voz5QnXaRKw/s320/06042007170.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5052508796436016130" />

Easter camp was fun but I didn't think it was particularly fantastic, I mean the programme and messages were really good but somehow I didn't feel like I benefitted much from it. It was certainly a good time to bond with my new cell grp mates, especially with sze tjen and tracy-pede and i ate so much easter eggs, freddo, snakes and nick yap's 'fantastic' instant noodles as well as tim tam's chinese brother, temp tin'. hahaha geddit? Anyways, the last night was the best, we had talent time but b4 that, all the victoria chairperson had to play a game : CHUBBY BUNNY!! whoo, my brother who's the chair for the new Frankston OCF played the game as well. Haha, i think he lou-ya. only stuffed 15 small mashmellow in his mouth. BUt the winner goes to STEVEN! my grp, redeemer's grp leader! whoo... then parkville choir came on and sang beautifully, go connie go! haha, but the funiest and most interesting part was who's line is it anyway performed by ocf drama. whaha, it was really good.
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/Rh4iRyQa7BI/AAAAAAAAAFw/EnBlE0HktD4/s200/08042007173.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5052513520900041746" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/Rh4iSCQa7CI/AAAAAAAAAF4/HiLlrvGjvKY/s200/08042007178.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5052513525195009058" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/Rh4iSSQa7DI/AAAAAAAAAGA/BpA82P4fchs/s200/08042007180.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5052513529489976370" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/Rh4iSiQa7EI/AAAAAAAAAGI/yWEuKOt2gao/s200/08042007185.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5052513533784943682" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/Rh4iSyQa7FI/AAAAAAAAAGQ/IoG-Ijm2JbY/s200/08042007187.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5052513538079910994" />

in the light of a 'unpredicted' event that is going to happen, this entry will be split into 2 to ensure that confidentiality will be maintained.

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/Rh4k9CQa7GI/AAAAAAAAAGY/8qgyZpfUscU/s320/04042007167.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5052516462952639586" />

oh oh, btw I finally made a successful yummy dinner last week! Oh my gosh, I feel so elated that its over but have a bad feeling that I didn't do as well as I hoped. I shuld have stuck to my guns and go ahead to memorise my 2 poems or at least 3 and not 5! sheizekoff! christine christine.. hai.
Well, tomorrow's the last paper, chemistry. Yay! I'm so exicited to actually do the paper.. haha. Maybe because its 40 MCQs only. Wha. damn shiok man. But i hope that i'll have enough time to complete and check them. Ha! This reminds me of the math test. I finished the paper in 30 mins, hanged around 15 mins more, spotted a mistake and waited for someone to leave the room before I followed suit. The paper was 90 mins long and had 11 questions. Lol. I was wondering why everyone took so long to answer them. Then it hit me, I did one year of A's. Apart from a mistake a realised later, I hope I'll be able to get at least a 97%. But anyways, it is not graded. Urgh. All that 'hardwork' was for nothing. hehe.

yesterday was the children's run and marcus and the fats went to take part in the 15.2 k run.Lol. Andrea and I woke up so early and went down separately to flinders station. Lol. it was so hilarious, I tried to take the city tram which is free but then realised that the tram only starts at 10am, then walked down to swanston to buy a sunday saver and tried to take another tram. Lucky I didn't wait for the tram because the whole of swanston street was closed for trams. In the end, I walked all the way. It was a good walk, relaxing and enjoyable. The weather was cool and the streets were rather quiet. haha, anwyays, andrea and I waited for marcus and the fats at the finishing line. Wha we waiting for a long time before marcus came running in, looking real tired. Like 15 mins later, the fats came strolling in. Haha.. They then complained that their nipples were hurting.. LOL.! hmm, no wonder there were some guys with blood stains around their nipples, my initial thought was that they must have accidentally pierce themselves when they were putting on their tags. Then i found out from marcus that when a person run long distance and sweats til the shirt is wet, the abrasion between the shirt and the nipple can be quite bad. LOL. oh mygosh, i so didn't know that! Anyways, that night, fats was feeling damn tired and aching all over, andrea came over to coach me in my lit, then during out break, she messaged the fats. It was damn funny, My brother kept like screaming, haha, in his very torn and tattered sleeping shirt. Lol. That was the highlight of the day!

Well today, after the disgusting lit exam, I had a superb lunch with eunice and reina. Went to eat what i was craving a long time for, Claypot King! haha.. Then reina came over and we had a good chat about school, uni life and whether contemplating whether we should move in with another housemate next year. She really liked my apartment and was seriously considering to move in after my brother goes back home.
Crap, I'm feeling hungry. Maybe I should go out and get some dinner now. Hai. This is what i loathe abt melb life. Food is always a problem. I cant cook so i always relied on quick fix meals but since we havent gone for groceries in a long while, theres literally no food in the fridge. like only parsley, some tyme spices and like cheese and juice left. Urgh. Sheesh, I think i'll go take a walk and see if there's any nearby stores that i can ta pao from. Crap, its quite dark already. Ahh. I should leave the house soon, haha but I'm lazy too... ahh i'll just go QV. sheesh, just came back from there.

HOLY SMOKY

CCCRRRAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPPPP!! Anyways i started off the week before in bad shape. Usually on mondays i have the 3rd period off, means that i get a break from 12.30 to 3.45pm. Hahha, shiok right. okay back to my story, so I went to sze tjen's house to watch borat. I was estatic and excited, carrying my subway 6' on top my my file and my sweater. haha then she started to like hop and skip steps, borat borat borat... haha when i tried to mimick her. Lol. I misjudged the height of the steps, tripped and fell headfirst into some green metal grill in front. BOOONNNNGGG... lol it was so loud i coud hear the friggin vibrations. like in waves, constructive and destructive interferences and all that crap.

Anyways, she and i burst out into a hysterical laughter. Haha she was like are you okay, oh my gosh, u have a huge bump. Lol. when i went to her house and looked into a mirror, haha i had the inprint of the metal bars on my head. Like the entire shape and thickness of the bars and where it criss-crossed. LOLLOLLOLLOL... Im such a klutz! gosh, to make things more hilarious, she didn't have ice and i made do with frozen dumplings... hahahaha. Monday the 19th was a day of mishaps. In total, I injured the entire of my right side of my body, excluding the left gash of my forehead. I have a huge or-chey on my knee, bumps and bruises on my wrist and scrapped my under-forearm. pulled my muscle close to my throat. haha i'll just add blisters on my feet to the list since I'm in the mood. oh oh i forgot e scratch on my top part of my hand, all because of my stupid psych file.

HAHA, im so accident prone. Used like 20 plasters in my 40 pack in like 1 week. Btw im in desperate need for shoes.. all my shoes are wearing out really fast... so sad, my white shoe has a huge hole.
Sch has been okay so far, except for my stupid drama assessment today. hai, i forgot an entire part of my mime, ended up doing a 20 sec mime instead of a 2 min one, I know it sounds bad, but my teacher complimented me for my original idea and said i cheated everyone, cus my storyline was really funny and interesting but cus i forgot one part, thats why its so short. Wha heng its like not graded, if not my doctor goal can go throw into smelly sewage yarra river. Anyways this week is exam week, til the 3rd of april. then i have PROPER holidays until 26 of april, i think. PROPER HOLIDAYS man = no study at all, can go easter camp in peace.

Oh oh, to keep all of you updated, I've decided to join OCF melbourne Uni, although Im gonna miss the parkvillians' lameness. Went for home cell this week at hong tat's house. wha i got spam mail from all the members la, like message board man, all reply. I got like 60 mails in like 3 days. Lol. friggin craziness. It was pot luck and i wanted to bring almond jelly, b ut then no jelly powder, so i walked to QV and bought weiss mango and berry sorbet. Haha, it was so funny, i got lost in the city and walked a hell lot to find the stupid asian grocer to find no jelly powder when acutally i could have gone QV's laguna..

Anyways, during the pot luck, I thought i was the only one with ice cream, then tee came late and the funny thing was that, she also bought ice cream but hers was the normal cheapo vanilla full cream ice-cream which was more expensive than my 1Litre Mango sorbet. haha eveyone liked mine better.. but her's went better with sze tjen's chocolate ripple cake. Guess i was "wise to choose weiss" to quote, unquote andreatan.
EXams here are easy i think, Chem test is like an hour long for 40 MCQs. Lit- two essays. Maths 1 - 11qns in 1.5 hrs. Funny thing is, the maths isn't too tough but it really tests your basics. Omgosh, i felt so lousy for not being able to complete the paper in the time allocated. shiezekoff!!
Now its time for some pics!! whee~

My eap mates and fellow mantee, Celeste and Hannah
<img style="display:block; Had a long arduous battle with my washing machine just now, lol, I didn't know which of my clothings' colour might run.. ahh, so had to test every single piece of them. Blah, I'm so not going to do laundry for a month! It's so friggin strainous and my hands are really dry and tired.
Anyways, went for OCF Parkville home cell last night. Joined Andrea's cell, had pot luck and she made her ridiculous good, oreo cheesecake for Kafai's birthday. <img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/RfuV1KT30JI/AAAAAAAAADQ/1xggMvpzM1c/s200/16032007141.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5042788948304711826" />
Still haven't decided whether to join melb uni or parkville yet. But I'm leaning towards melb uni although i know more people in parkville. Somehow I feel that in parkville, the ppl there are like, my brother's friends, everyone knows me as jason's lil sister, I'm totally cool with being his lil sis (inserts: Eeeww) but in terms of finding good and close christian friends, like my cell in Singapore, I find it somehow difficult to imagine, at least in parkville. Hmph, on the flip side, I'm afraid lose contact or friendship with the parkville ppl whom I've got to know for a while. decisions, decisions, decisions.... crap.

On another note, I finally tried out Koko Black at Lygon Street. Met with Kaylee, Kevin and Joel for a session of yummy chocolate and ice-cream. Lol. We, the 4 of us couldn't finish the set desert that was meant for 2. I OD on chocolate in like 20 mins. so I kept on eating the caramel martini. :) then I OD on sugar after 15 mins.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/RfubuqT30MI/AAAAAAAAADo/FR-Ji_ertrg/s200/15032007104.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5042795433705328834" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/Rfubu6T30NI/AAAAAAAAADw/HN_uRuMFUkA/s200/15032007110.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5042795438000296146" />

Hahaha. then we went to the Ferrrari merchandise shop to see if we could afford anything, to wear and represent when the aussie grand prix starts. Ooh, we saw vintage ferrari cars too..<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/RfubNqT30KI/AAAAAAAAADY/zIHjuONHLGg/s200/15032007140.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5042794866769645730" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/RfubN6T30LI/AAAAAAAAADg/YKifJNp1TdU/s200/15032007138.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5042794871064613042" />

This week has been really good, met up with trinity friends and found out Jane Garton, my Eap teacher is my assigned mentor! WHoo! Thank God man, she is the best! Haha, all my friends are really jealous and they ought to be. Jane is the ideal mentor, she's really candid and jokes with us. She makes Eap lessons really enjoyable and interesting, learning really is fun when she's around. Not to mention my fantabulous Eap tutorial mates! I have the most outgoing, funnny, cooperative and supportive bunch of ppl in 3HW!
The only bummer this week, well a humongous BUMMer is that Paramore CANCELLED their japan and AUSSIE tour with new found glory. AHHH! And i went to buy the ticket without checking the boards, which i usually do. Sheizekoff! Now I cant refund my ticket, so i'm stuck watching new found glory. bleah, after listening to some online tracks, I've made peace with myslf, NFG has an okay record. But its still a waste of money without Paramore! why dont they just cancelled their japan tour and try to finish their sophomore album asap! No live paramore music for me.. <img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/Rfvmc6T30OI/AAAAAAAAAD4/2K72baMDgz4/s320/newparamore.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5042877592134734050" />

Well.. kingsly just came to keep an eye on me and keep me company. The fats and marcus left for leaders retreat today, coming back only tomorrow evening I think. So gonna go church with Adryl and Kingsly tomorrow. I wonder how awkward will that be. Anyways, got ton of work to do now. Easy but mah fun work.. okie, until next time.. seeya!

*p.s. to cell: hope u guys have a great time at G12 conference and I miss ya too!

cakes galore :)

ellos again. Just found my whole lot of photos that I've been taking this past month. Seriously, eveer since I've been here, I have become so lame and develop a sweet tooth/ addiction for cakes. yum yum!! Hanging out too much with andrea already, I even mastered the ba gei look. sheesh, what's happening to me?lol. however i do have to admit that the cakes here are WAY SUPERIOR. I rate grekkos at crown casino best! haha the cakes are super high and rich and fantastic. haha, but i can only finish half before I puke due to cake-overload. Strawberry, carrot and walnut cakes:
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/RfqhG6T3z9I/AAAAAAAAABw/n5TMGqOYXH0/s320/18022007029.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5042519872898584530" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/RfqhHaT3z-I/AAAAAAAAAB4/gdCi2nwB7Xk/s320/18022007028.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5042519881488519138" />
More cakes after church, with kingsly, andrea and the fats:
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/RfqhHqT3z_I/AAAAAAAAACA/QuBs0BmmJbo/s320/11032007133.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5042519885783486450" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/RfqhH6T30AI/AAAAAAAAACI/GbjXBcLJfNo/s320/11032007132.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5042519890078453762" />

Hehe, yummy sushi from Hanabishi!!
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/RfqhIaT30BI/AAAAAAAAACQ/0kkFOWd9JeQ/s320/22022007039.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5042519898668388370" />My first fei-loh session-- oxtail, garlic mashed potatoes, salad, parma-hamed fish, huge scallops, clams with veg potato/starch thing
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/RfqkzqT30CI/AAAAAAAAACY/bMmaieP7aVY/s200/28022007081.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5042523940232613922" />

K enough of tantalising food pictures, heh heh
Now for orientation pics, okay, actually we were suppose to go camp during orientation but because of stupid bush fires, our camp got cancelled because it was in the east of melb where the bush fires are and its supposedly too smoky for outdoor activites. Urgh! the camp! FYI everyone, its not like OBS, yucky forests and sand flies and mosquitos, its a resort man, like they provide beds, pillows, towels, etc. Wha and they feed u like 7 meals a day, sheesh. We paid for the camp and all we got substituted was useless and no fun excursions to Warrock Cattle Farm and Ascombe Maze. bleah, anyways here are some pics.
Our breakfast at Warrock
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/Rfqk0KT30DI/AAAAAAAAACg/gMDK3ikIgM8/s200/23022007040.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5042523948822548530" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/Rfqk0aT30EI/AAAAAAAAACo/MfTXucWAfOY/s200/IMG_1419.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5042523953117515842" />
Feathertop girlies, woot!
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/Rfqk06T30FI/AAAAAAAAACw/V5UuqLKivvM/s200/24022007045.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5042523961707450450" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/Rfqk1aT30GI/AAAAAAAAAC4/1jDy_8UdabQ/s200/24022007056.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5042523970297385058" />Warrock Cattle farm and Ashcombe Maze
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/Rfqme6T30HI/AAAAAAAAADA/iSl6wBWtRZY/s320/24022007063.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5042525782773583986" />
Amazing views

* yeah! pics are out!

-miss ya all lots :)

month 1

hey all, just realised that its been a month since I've been in victoria, melb. Wow. Reflecting back, I can still remember day that i flew, waking out really early, anticipating the live telecast of the 49th Grammy Awards, hoping to catch some dixie chicks. :) jumping up and down, screaming and banging my knee on the table when the chicks won ALBUM OF THE YEAR and subsequently all 5 grammys including the big 3, ALBUM OF THE YEAR, RECORD OF THE YEAR AND SONG OF THE YEAR for their non-apologetic song "Not Ready To Make Nice". Finally! vindication for the chicks and all DCX fans! All the alienation, bans, ridiculous amt of crap they persevered through the 3 years finally paid off with a resoounding acknowlegement from the grammy music association, for their immense talent and bravery. Five for fighing, chicks! Can't wait to see Shut Up and Sing.
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/RfaW5aT3z5I/AAAAAAAAABM/5nyoKf1n5tk/s400/official+gram.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5041382745947230098" />

Anyways, on the plane, my mom ad I were being squashed between two big size ang mohs and had to make a run for the toilet each time they get up. Hence, disrupting my whole oscar movie maraton that I've pre-planned... arh. Then, when we went to collect our bags, lol, i couldn't lift my huge luggage off the moving belt thing. I was like tugging at it and it wouldn't budge, I ended up moving together with my heavy luggage along with the travellator, looking like a total woozy, until a nice indian man helped me with it... and I didn't know what my mom was doing! she just left me to do all the heavy lifting while she hid behind a pillar sms-ing. Argh! Then when we reach the apartment, i accidentally scratch my hand against some sharp thing in the cabbie while I was carrying the baggage out from the trunk with no help from certain someone yet again. Now i have like scars from tt, its like 4 lines, kinda resembles a cat claw. The climax of the day was when we opened the apartment door, we were so astonished at the amt of junk and filth and stuff that mountained the whole place. Literally leaving a pathway leading from the door to the living room and to the rooms. Haha, I'll show ya all the before and after pictures of the apartment after some major scrubbing..
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/RfaX-qT3z6I/AAAAAAAAABU/lvv3MsZKtWo/s320/25022007068.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5041383935653171106" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4CQZZSYA5Nw/RfaX-6T3z7I/AAAAAAAAABc/QZdvQrLRVks/s320/01032007092.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5041383939948138418" />

Anyways to cut things short, the first few days in the land of Oz was brutal for me. I was like in semi-depresssion. I was really lost and frustrated and the weather didn't help much. It was constantly at 35- 38 degress celcius the whole day and now tt its summer, the days are so much longer, night fall only comes at 8.30- 9pm. The whole apartment was like an oven, cooking me and my mom. Furthermore, there was no air-condition and even at night, it was still warm. Ahh, I seriuosly regretted coming over at that time and was at my lowest pt. I remmeber wanting to fly back to Singapore, to see all my friends and ah ma and everything else that was familiar. I even question God if i am really meant to be here and thinking it could be a huge mistake leaving jc. All the letters that ppl gave me were really helpful. I was reminded of the love, encouragement and support you all have for me.

Well now, a month later, I sure do not regret leaving the stressful, pressure-cooking Singapore education system for a much leisure, enjoyable and challenging, independent and 'domesticated' as karen calls it, lifestyle. I truly feel that I'm growing more as a person, progressing slowly into young adulthood and learning to trust and feel more comfortable in my skin. This is a very exciting chapter of my life and I'm glad to share this with y'all, even though you're an ocean away. LOL. btw, today marks the day I cooked for myself without any help and probably was a bad idea cus I totally butchered my meal and now I feel so gross and disgusted.., hope i dont get diarrhoea tomorrow. :(

All the best to my fellow saints and friends who will be taking their first block test soon, may God keep you safe, healthy and give you all the strength, wisdom and understanding you need.

seeya all next time, hopefully able to show ya all the pics I took from day 1.
tata.
christine ..
