hey all
its finally the holidays! Ahh.. I'm so glad that this day has arrived. But the irony is, with the amount of free time I've always wanted and waited to have, I somehow made my way back to studying. Yes, I have committed the most disgusting sin ever, I did self-willing and initiated studying yesterday afternoon. Oh The HORROR! Yes yes...
But the main bulk of today's entry is not going to be about the studying I did during the hols, instead it will focus on the best summer movie I've watched this year: STARDUST.

whoowheet! This was the movie that I most hoped would not flop. With an top-notched, A-list cast prepped with a fantasy backdrop, the room for failure was indeed enormous. I'm elated to announce that Stardust is by far, the most entertaining and enchanting fantasy movie I've seen in my life. Awesome awesome film! Masterful job by the director! The quality of storytelling is through the roof, fantastic job! It's on the same pedestal as Serenity and just above Star Wars I,II,III. The most refreshing thing about the movie was that it was made as an adult or lack of a better word, a mature fantasy film. Its time someone made a film like this that wasn't made for the kiddies. We (young) adults also deserve to have such films made for us. The script was great! The humour was really enjoyable and hilarious, and rid of all obvious and cliche jokes, like those in Rush Hour, Daddy Day Camp or the ever so painful, Chuck and Larry. Before watching the movie, I've skimmed through various reviews on the movie. One said that Claire Danes blatantly overacted and that it was painful to watch. Hmm, I've no idea what the reviewer was thinking or watching. Danes was extraordinarily awesome in her protrayal of Yvaine. If Rove ever asks me who I'll turn gay for, Claire Danes is a definite contender. LOL. And although it might seemed a little over-the-top, I thought that was essential and apt for her character. She also did a commendable job on her fake British accent. Next, Charlie Cox did a brilliant job as well. Although this was his first lead role in a motion picture, I thought he did rather fabulously. However, all props definitely goes to the incomparable Michelle Pfeiffer and Robert De Niro. I am so very glad that Michelle Pfeiffer has returned to the big screen. She totally has the evil shizzle going for her, her other evil role in Hairspray was just as awesome as her other roles. Stardust contains all the elements for a great epic love/quest fantasy movie. Although some may argue that the movie sometimes lack coherent-ness, I think that the movie did its job of entertaining, keeping the audience in suspense and most significantly, reprise our hope of finding the ever so elusive, true love.

Gosh, I really want to watch this movie once more. But its such a shame that it's not doin well at the Box Office. Everyone, wake up already! Chuck and Larry is so f-ing lousy and lame! Sandler has forgotten how to be funny..

you screwed it up.. 1- nil

WHOO... Arsenal has mantained tradition! Not only did we cheat, we have yet again been unbeaten against Spurs. Oh well..

same 'ole Arsenal, always cheating

same 'ole Tottenham, always losing!

The original plan tonight was to watch the match at Kingsly's place, then his foxtel not atas enough, so ended up going to some bar to watch. Although missed first half, the second half was pure magic and exhilaration. Oh man, I started to lose hope when Adebayor rocketed a open goal opportunity. But it was slowly gaining momentum when he headed the equaliser after that miss. Whoo! Arsenal started to play better and the whole pub was all in song and cheer. When Fabergas was dribbling into the box, everyone held their breath and chanted "shoot shoot shoot.." and finally when he placed his right leg in position, everyone could feel the winning goal coming around the mountain. And as sure as Tottenham's rotten luck, he shoot--o it in! WHOOO! Man, I wished I didn't have told my dad to print R V.P on my jersey. Then in the dying minutes, Adebayor hammered the final nail into Tottenham's coffin. Yeah.. yeah. 3-1 y'all! Same comeback style as the previous meeting. ooh yeah!

ooh Arsenal ooh Arsenal
You only sing.. when you're winning..

Can't wait for mine to arrive!

In other non-glorious Arsenal news, having term 3 test beginning on Monday and ending on tuesday. And yes, its the tuesday on the same week.. hehe. but in no way are they easy. Man, math is so tricky and messy! I really need to get a 100%. Lit is going to be really stressful too.. but i think i have enough leow to score at least the same marks or higher. In sadder news, my precious n73 has been stolen from yours truly! Man, I'm so mad with myself! Should have zipped my bag when i went to nap on the table. Hai, at the same time, roy must also nap. If not he could have seen the stealer!
On another note and on one hand, Pastor Sun is now the most successful Singaporean music artist to be able to collaborate with Wyclef Jean on her new single China Wine. On the other hand, what a sell-out! She has officially become a hollywood ho!

(chants) china wine.. china wine.... china wine.

whoo, cant wait to hear City harvest comebacks to defend their dear 'ole worship pastor. or leader or wadever title she gives herself to justify her actions.
No offence intended to anyone who supports her 'career' but dear sun, Stop being a WANNABE, it so obvious u dont belong. No amount of publicity nor multitudes of pictures taken with famous ppl will credit u as one of them.
AT LEAST, get a speech therapist, your friggin ah lian english is so thick and so degrading. It is so blantantly fake when u're trying to be all glam and popular, "oh my, i want that dress too and see that sequence and the last dress looks so princessy" As Janice from friends best expresses.. OH. MY... GOD.
urgh, such a utter disgrace to both singapore and christian community.

Well, that was so carthatic! K got to go back to my work and listening to quality artists singing quality songs.

(china wine, china wine.... china wine.)
im so going to regret tainting my blog with this vid:

Props goes out to other singapore artists like the other sun - stefanie sun, tanya chua whom i love and corrine may. You guys have maintained your dignity and I whole-heartedly respect you guys even though you all aren't that big yet. Rock on and rock hard!
