In light of the celebration of word of the year, w00t! w00t! w00t!
OMgosh, holy mac! Grammy's have nominated Paramore for Best New Artist Category! Stunner! I can't believe the tiny/young band I stumbled upon in '05 has actually achieved the epitome of success! Yeah, yeah, I know, they probably won't get it, competing with Amy crack-house and Feist. But it's still quite an honour, and there's still a chance.
It's all about timing, if RIOT! came out last year, they would have been fighting with this year's sure bet for BEST NEW ARTIST. They definitely wont stand a chance standing beside Carrie Underwood who has been receiving immense success.
Seeing that Grammy's is going to be so much boring next year, no dixie chicks sweeping the stakes and all, I guess I'll be grabbing more ZzZ's and tune in to see the result of this award and Song of The Year.
omgosh, this is so friggin cool. Now I think I should go on a new band hunt.
day of reckoning

hey all. Been a while since I last posted. Well these few month have been quite hectic and fun.
Its been almost 2 weeks since my last Trinity paper and results are apparently already out. I'm pretty nervous and decided to postponed the act of result viewing for at least 24 hours. Hmm, I'm not sure why I wasn't prepared for this exam. Pretty mad with myself. I mean, i started studying on week 2 of term 4. Thats like 6 weeks before the exams, and yet I was same 'ole, scrambling around, looking for notes, extra time. Although preparations were pretty stressful, I'm glad I spent it with good OCF friends. The library buds were so great, we would reserve seats for one another at Bailieu and Law Lib, much to librarians dislike. Spend the whole day there and then go for a really late dinner. Haha. So unhealthy man, all that munching and absence of sunlight, excercise. Hahaha. But it was great fun. Really kept each other going and in sight of the goal at hand. Just wanna say thanks to Tracy, Tiffany, Christine Lim, Mandy and the 2 docs, Nick for driving me around and Jerica for providing much needed entertainment! Not forgetting the wonderful smarty Mel Chu, for being my tuition teacher. :)
Then it had been all about the HOLIDAYS! Had a cg roadtrip to TORQUAY! Where the sun is shining, beach is sandy, flies being uttermost vile pests and bbq smokin'. Oh my, the house we rented was rad. It had like a pool table, poker counter, george foreman-ish grill, etc. Suffice to say, we had a smashing time there.
Valedictory was more fun than I anticipated, downside was the friggin killer heels that threatened to distort my feet and end my walking career. During the ceremony, really felt that the whole year had passed really fast and that uni was fast approaching. It also meant that I was no longer allowed to be a teen but now, an adult, a young adult. The idea of growing up has been something I've been afraid of acknowledging. But, since spending almost a year here away from home, I guess I'm now better equipped in a sense to deal with this.

Next, Convention 07 was the most enriching camps I've ever been to. Although I was there for only 1 day and 1/2, in 2 bible studies, I've so much. I guess all credit goes to Vashti and Arthur, for being such solid BS leaders, you guys really know your stuff! And you really inspire me to be better in mine. The campsite was so farm-y. There were gooses, ducks, a bazillion flies and a goat roaming around the compound. Group phototaking was the worst thing to do during spring/summer. We were all swatting, jumping and spraying insect repellent hoping to repel those irritating flies. Seriously, the ratio was 10 flies to 1 person. It was so gross. Nightmare...
Finally, countdown begins with a week til I fly back home to Singapore, I guess I'm kinda afraid to go back. Nervous to see everyone, how they have changed and wonder if I'll still be able to maintain all the relationships, after being so far away for such a long time. Most of all, I'm terrified of the weather and humidity! urgh, stick me in an icebox already!
'k guys, I'm gonna go see my results after I say goodbye, wish me luck!
SEEYA SOON! :)
