hey all, sorry for the lack of updates since like last year.
Alright, so the holidays was great. Really enjoyed the time i spent with my dear cousins during CNY etc. Finally, got to see them all grow up. Especially nicholas, gosh, he's towering over me now. But I glad that he's still such a sweet boy. I would really hate to see him change into some emo, attitude, uninvolved and unenthusiastic. The first thing I did when i reach home was to hug my ah ma. I miss my ah ma the most. Not really sure why.. maybe because in a way, she was more around than my folks when I was younger. And also, she looks so cute, i mean, how can you not find some old people adorable. I just wanna squish her!
okok, moving on from mentally physically abusing my 86 year old grand mama. The hols were a good time for me to rewind and be caught up with the whole life I abruptly left behind in 2007. Met up with some friends, went back to SA, said hi to old teachers and juniors and made great fellowship with my cell mates whom i treasure so dearly.
Life was sweet in Singapore, i have a new helper at home which I think she's a dream come true, had a daily routine which gave me stability and parents who made me to feel comfortable and loved. For a few weeks, I could pretend to be a kid, everything was back to the way it was, familiar and easy. There was no need to stress abt paying bills, settling school stuff, remember to go grocery shopping, planning for each meals, making sure that washed clothes are dried and ironed for school. Yikes, whole lot of responsibility there!
So my very familiar daily routine in Singapore comprised of work at 9, home by 3, gym at 4. Such a stellar routine. Healthy and relaxing. And my only hope is that I continue this habit of exercising and eating right. haha, my new year resolution...
Anyways, the life of a TKG (trinity kid graduate) has ended and now my journey as a melbourne uni student has just set-sailed.
When i reached melbourne on monday morning, I was really home-sicked. I was alone in my clean apartment, weather was crazy hot and I was dizzy with lack of sleep. All I wanted to do was to hug my mum and cry. I can't believe I managed to spend the entire of last year in aus. Now I cant wait for June to arrive!
Anyways, to cut out all melodrama, I went for my course briefing today. Wow, i feel mentally tired just thinking of what i did today. Firstly, I woke up at 6am and walked with kingsly to the Arsenal vs AC Milan champions league match. Ahhh, friggin Adebayor should have scored at the 93rd minute! bahh. AC was so lagging behind, they were outplayed by the youngsters. Even the MVP Kaka' didn't even get a shot at goal. Moving on, then after the match, I had to immediately rush to uni for my course briefing at 9am. I ran down 2 streets, carrying my laptop on one arm, my heavy CR bag in the other, handphone and orange tic tats in my right pocket which threatened to pull my shorts off. Jump and squeeze into a tram and hope the tram inspectors were not around to check our tickets. Anywyas, it was too packed, I wouldnt have been able to pay for a ticket even if i sincerely wanted too. LOL.
Okay, so when i finally reached uni grounds, who do i bump into but sze tjen. My good friend since day 1 of trinity. While walking to the venue, we were commenting how great it is that we went through trinity and now, dont feel so lonely on first day of uni. Haha, its kinda not good that trinity ppl are grouping together but oh well, who can we blame?
So when i peered into the lect room, who do i see but steven and yusoff! Yeah, people that I know! Today's briefing would have been so boring without everyone! Got to know wai han a little better, turns out he's such a funny guy and was fun having chris around, pretending to be an engineering student. Haha, oh oh btw, I'm currently doing Chemical Engineering at the University of Melbourne.
So after we all went home, I dropped by Andrea's place for dinner and JUNO! Omg, i need to stop watching JUNO for at least 3 months. I've seen it 7 times since late jan. I practically know every line, joke and scene that's coming up next. Ahhh, really hope, that Juno will pull an upset at the Oscars and grab some awards for direction, screenplay, picture or actress...
Ooh, speaking of movies, I caught "The Importance of Being Earnest" on youtube. My my my, I've never laughed so much during a Brit film before. Not only does my fav Reese Witherspoon appears in it, so does Colin Firth and Judi Dench. Brit acting royalties. So all of u j3s waiting for results and have super a lot of time to burn, go search TIOBE on youtube and enjoy the hilarity of this picture.
Alrighty then, so I'm gonna go take my student id tomorrow, hope my picture turns out decent. haha..
btw, just to comment, this year's grammys sucked. I was so bored. Only thing that I enjoyed was Beyonce and Tina Turner. I cant believe she's 68, still dancing and singing and leaving B in the dust. Gotta give props to the Queen! and paramore didn't
win, yeah yeah, expected that but its ok. at least I got to see hayley rocking out a intensely red hair and ridiculous grey socks.
Hope everyone enjoys their day 15 of Chinese New Year 08 and I miss ya all lots!
